Tourist attractions<br />

The geography and nature of Szczecin contribute to <strong>the</strong> tremendous development potential<br />

of <strong>the</strong> city and its environments and make it a very attractive tourist <strong>destination</strong>. It is suited<br />

<strong>for</strong> leisure activities like sailing and o<strong>the</strong>r water sports – <strong>the</strong> most popular leisure activity due<br />

to <strong>the</strong> city’s location on <strong>the</strong> Baltic co<strong>as</strong>t, horseback riding and cycling, <strong>as</strong> well <strong>as</strong> skiing and<br />

bobsleighing thanks to Szczecin’s Gubałówka, a sports and recreation complex located just<br />

outside <strong>the</strong> city center. The beautiful Binowo Park golf course located near Szczecin is an<br />

excellent place to relax and a meeting place <strong>for</strong> golfers. Major annual cultural events in Szczecin<br />

are: Sea Days Festival (Polish Dni Morza) held in June, Street Artists’ Festival (Polish Festiwal<br />

Artystów Ulicy) in July and <strong>the</strong> air show at Dąbie airport in May.<br />
