Key locations <strong>for</strong> SSC<br />

This section presents potential locations <strong>for</strong> <strong>Shared</strong> <strong>Services</strong> <strong>Centers</strong> and BPO operation<br />

in <strong>Poland</strong>. The cities included in <strong>the</strong> c<strong>as</strong>e studies were: Cracow, Lublin, Łódź, Poznań, Szczecin,<br />

<strong>the</strong> Tri-city (Gdansk, Gdynia, Sopot), Warsaw and Wrocław. We have selected <strong>the</strong>se cities<br />

because of <strong>the</strong> large pool of well qualified people in each of <strong>the</strong>se cities.<br />

For each location we have presented an overview of <strong>the</strong> selected city <strong>as</strong> well <strong>as</strong> <strong>the</strong> key issues<br />

<strong>for</strong> setting up an SSC in <strong>the</strong> location, including <strong>the</strong> main investors locating <strong>the</strong>ir activity in <strong>the</strong><br />

city and its surrounding area, <strong>the</strong> city’s infr<strong>as</strong>tructure, availability and prices of real estate, labor<br />

market characteristics, education system and examples of tourist attractions.<br />

The in<strong>for</strong>mation presented in <strong>the</strong> „Key locations <strong>for</strong> SSC” section is b<strong>as</strong>ed on publicly available<br />

data published by <strong>the</strong> selected city’s authories on official city websites, real estate agencies<br />

(Colliers International, Cushman&Wakefield, Knight Frank), <strong>the</strong> Polish Central Statistical Office<br />

(GUS), <strong>the</strong> Polish In<strong>for</strong>mation and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ), <strong>as</strong> well <strong>as</strong> materials<br />

provided by regional investor in<strong>for</strong>mation agencies in <strong>the</strong> analized cities<br />
