12th Annual YFPE, Inc.Golf TournamentWhat a great day for golf! On June 22, 2011, the 12th AnnualYFPE, Inc. Golf Tournament was held at Kiskiack Golf Club in Williamsburg.Twenty four teams enjoyed a continental breakfast, a challenginground of golf and lunch. Through the cooperative efforts of areabusinesses, the tournament was a huge success. The tournamentnetted proceeds of over $20,000. Onehundred percent of the net proceeds willfund student scholarships, teacher grantsand recognition of innovation and excellencein education scholarships.For the eighth consecutive year, Walmart Distribution Center participated and was a tournament eventsponsor. In addition, Bay Electric Co., Inc. played a major role as an event sponsor for the third year. Auto Hauswas a first time Hole-In-One sponsor and George Washington University was a new Gold Sponsor this year.“This past year, we touched the lives of many York County students, teachers and staff through recognitionof excellence through the foundation’s scholarships, grants, student resource development funds andvarious awards and honors,” remarked Peggy Myatt, YFPE, Inc.
