The board has changed significantly with eight newtrustees and we are working extremely hard to prepare for a great summerseason. Thanks to our outgoing board members - Jim Lavorini,Audra Bush, Dave Vansuch, Lisa Young-Boniface, Jenny Hunt, MelissaWatson and Christine Cammack - for <strong>the</strong>ir hard word and dedication.The Club cannot function without members volunteering in somecapacity. Talk to a trustee and see how you can make a difference.We are on schedule to have <strong>the</strong> restroom/<strong>of</strong>fice renovation completedin late April - you will be amazed and impressed with <strong>the</strong>results. Senior Membership EligibilityTo be eligible for senior membership, youmust be age 65 years or older and a member <strong>of</strong>our swim club for at least 30 years. If you satisfy<strong>the</strong>se criteria and wish to apply for Senior status,please provide a written statement <strong>of</strong> yourrequest, pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> age for you and your spouse,and a copy <strong>of</strong> your original stock certificateSend <strong>the</strong>se documents to Melissa Gajdos,3595 Timberbrooke Trail, <strong>Poland</strong>, Ohio 44514.Please note: It is important for you to makeyour request promptly, so that it can be processedbefore <strong>the</strong> annual dues deadline.Guest FeesLocal guests (those living within a 50 mileradius <strong>of</strong> <strong>Poland</strong>) are charged $5 per visit andare limited to six visits per season. Out <strong>of</strong> townguests (beyond a 50 mile radius <strong>of</strong> <strong>Poland</strong>) arecharged $2 per visit, or on a weekly basis <strong>of</strong>$5 per week. House guest families <strong>of</strong> four ormore can purchase a family guest ticket for $10per week. Local grandchildren passes may beobtained at <strong>the</strong> Office. These allow each grandchild14 visits per season with a charge <strong>of</strong> $2per visit. Grandparents must accompany <strong>the</strong>irgrandchildren at all times.Guests will not be admitted unless <strong>the</strong>member signing <strong>the</strong>m in is at <strong>the</strong> pool.Pool RemindersThe wading pool is restricted to childrenunable to use <strong>the</strong> main pool. Safety <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> childrenis <strong>the</strong> responsibility <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> accompanyingadult. At no time should children old enoughto use <strong>the</strong> main pool use <strong>the</strong> wading pool.No food can be taken out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Pavilionareas. This event includesmusic and dancing and delicious food. It is a fun and relaxing time toget to know o<strong>the</strong>r members.The Family Fun Day/Cancer Benefit will be Sunday, July 26. Thisday is full <strong>of</strong> fun for you and your family including games in and out<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> water, sno-cones, face painting and special entertainment for <strong>the</strong>children. All proceeds benefit cancer research.The Family Camp Out will be Saturday, Aug. 22. This is a greattime to ga<strong>the</strong>r your family around <strong>the</strong> campfire, make S'mores, swim'til you drop, enjoy pizza and friends and sleep under <strong>the</strong> stars. Thenext morning you awake to a light breakfast, juice and c<strong>of</strong>fee.The Club will again have Float Night on Sundays at .m. Water Fitness Classes Tuesdays, ThursdaysGet fit and have lots <strong>of</strong> fun by joining our new Water Fitness Classesfor Adults! Beginning June 16, classes will be held every Tuesday andThursday at 6:30 p.m. Gwen Shipsky, a longtime member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Cluband a certified YMCA water fitness instructor, will supervise instruction.The Club is purchasing aquatic barbells that participants may use.Classes will accommodate <strong>the</strong> abilities <strong>of</strong> participants with arthritis.Cost is $20 - attend as many classes as you want. The cost<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> suit is $29.20 for girls; $22.15 for boys.Suit try-ons will be held Monday, May 4, <strong>from</strong>4 to 7 p.m. at <strong>Poland</strong> Presbyterian Church. Youwill be able to purchase your suit at this time,subject to size availability. Order forms for teamT-shirts, hoodies, and sweats will be available atregistration.
