<strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong> <strong>Logo</strong> <strong>Identity</strong> <strong>Quick</strong> <strong>Reference</strong> <strong>Card</strong>This is the logo of the <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>. It maybe used in three-color, single-color, gray-scale or blackversions as shown on the left.Use this logo on all material associated withthe <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>. It should appear on signs,programs, posters, brochures, newsletters, fact sheets,web pages, computerized visual presentations, slides andon all other material produced by or associated withthe <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>.The logo should be prominently displayed.In all uses, please ensure the <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong> logo is givenprominence.Keep logo proportionate. When re-sizing thelogo to fit your needs, keep its horizontal and verticalproportions intact. Do not distort it.Alterations to the official logo are notallowed. Do not make any additions, deletions orother alterations to the logo. Do not place any otherwords in close proximity to the logo. Do not reversethe logo. It may be proportionately re-sized to meetyour needs, and you may select a color other than greenfor running the single-color version of the logo. But noother alterations are allowed!The logo must be at leastone inch wide. <strong>Identity</strong> GuidelinesWe are the <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>. While ourformal name is the Louisiana State UniversityAgricultural Center and we operate through theLouisiana Agricultural Experiment Station andthe Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service,we intend to project a single, unified image andidentity. That means identifying our people andour programs as being from the <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>in all public references.<strong>AgCenter</strong> is one word when used aspart of our new identity – the <strong>LSU</strong><strong>AgCenter</strong>. Do not separate <strong>AgCenter</strong> intotwo words (despite what your spell-checkingprogram may tell you).Let people know you are from the<strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>. When introducing yourselfor identifying yourself in all material for thepublic, say you are with the <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>.For example, say you are <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>entomologist Dr. John Smith; Sara Jones, a 4-Hagent with the <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>; Tom Hebert, an<strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong> researcher; or <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>agent Nancy Nicholls.Use official <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong> businesscards. Be sure to give business cards tomembers of the media, public officials, clientsand others with whom you have contact.Use official <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong> letterhead.Print all correspondence on official <strong>LSU</strong><strong>AgCenter</strong> letterhead and include your name,title and unit under your signature. Please don’tcreate your own electronic versions. In addition,please use official fax cover sheets that will besupplied to you electronically.Make sure you have an <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>e-mail address. Ensure the signature on eache-mail you send includes the <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>’sname and website address:www.lsuagcenter.comLet people know where to find <strong>LSU</strong><strong>AgCenter</strong> Offices. Put <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong> nameand logo on all office signs. List your office inthe phone directory as <strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong> even ifyou also list it other ways. Answer phone in amanner such as “<strong>LSU</strong> <strong>AgCenter</strong>, how may I helpyou.”Print equal opportunity statements onmaterial.
