It is located in the Australian outback,approx. 950 km north-east ofPerth, where temperatures between 5 and50 °C are common.The mine came into operation in 1987 asan open-cut mine, since 1995 undergroundmining has been in operation, and atpresent a further 10 – 15 years’ operationis calculated. There are currentlyapprox. 130 km of tunnels, with a diameterof approx. 6 m. The mining depth is atpresent up to 800 m, the extension belowground is approx. 1.5 km x 3 km.Annual production is approx. 360,000ounces or approx. 10 t of gold. Onetonne of ore yields 3 – 10 g of gold.Pump with intake shaftMaterial transportThe medium is pumped via a DN 200delivery line from the paste plant to twodifferent bore holes. The delivery distanceto the first bore hole is 500 m. Thesecond is located another 500 m away,resulting in a maximum delivery distanceof 1000 m overall.IP 3721-1 GB

Material/DescriptionThe delivery medium is dewatered tailingswith an average dry solids contentof 73.5 % by weight. This paste contains2 to 5 % cement, granulation rangesfrom 7 to 220 µ.Machine equipmentHSP 2180 HPS, HA 315 E,HPD 200/750Delivery quantityThe delivery quantity is max. 80 m 3 /h, thedelivery quantity of the pump, however,is determined by the level in the deliveryhopper. The duration of operation is 24h/day with utilization of approx. 10 days/month.Delivery pressureThe maximum delivery pressure is 80bar and is achieved with a maximum drysolids content of 73 % by weight and adelivery distance of 1000 m.Flow diagram with mixing screw, supply tank and high-density solids pumpPipeline length/diameterThe delivery line has an outer diameter of219.2 mm, and a wall thickness of 11.2mm.
