VFFRobust performanceHeavy-duty offsetdisc harrowsFor tractors from100 to 300 HP

VFFThe VFF conceptDesigned with North-American working conditions in mind, heavy duty VFF disc harrows are first class soil and crop residuemanagement tools. The VFF is an excellent choice of tillage tool for primary tillage operations: the unique patented flail discschop and bury even the heaviest crop residue, while mixing and moving soil uniformly across the whole width of the machine. The VFF is designed to work efficiently is all soil types, with exceptional performances in lighter soils.Hydraulic drawbar compensationHeavy-duty VFF discs areequipped with a hydraulic drawbarcompensation system (standardequipment). This system has manyfunctions:• allows to level the machinefront to rear for an optimumdepth adjustment of the frontand rear disc gangs;• transfers some of the machine’sweight to the rear tractortires; traction is improved andefficiency increases.• absorbs shocks by working incombination with rubber shockabsorbers.Ideal primary tillageThe aggressive work angle of the disc gangs, combined tothe unique flail discs design (patent: Javerlhac) produce ahigh quality job, even in high residue conditions (grain corn)or when dealing with compacted soils. The VFF chops cropresidue and mixes it uniformly. The disc shape reduces therisk of creating a hardpan and reduces power requirementscompared to conventional offset disc harrows.Hydraulic drawbar alignmentEvery VFF offset disc harrow is equipped with a standardhydraulic drawbar alignment system. The hydraulic ramallows the operator to offset the machine behind the tractorto maintain a straight working line and optimize tractionforce.2 13Disc gang angle adjustmentFront and rear disc gangs angle can easily be adjusted toadapt to varying soil conditions. Front and rear adjustmentsare independent. No tool is required and these adjustmentscan be carried out directly in the field. To change the gang angle, simply loosen the two gang handles(1), remove the gang pin (2) and modify the angle withthe turnbuckle (3)

VFFSturdy frameAll VFF disc harrows are built around a sturdy welded chassis (2 beamson 8’-10’-12’ models and 3 beams on 14’-16’-18’ models) to ensure anoptimum level of reliability.ModelFrame size`8’ - 10’ - 12’ 6” x 4” (150 mm x 100 mm) beams14’ - 16’ 7” 3/4 x 4” (200 mm x 100 mm) beams18’ 10” x 6” (250 mm x 150 mm) beamsThe disc gangs are mounted on 7” 3/4 x 4” (200 mm x 100 mm) beams.Patented discs for North-American conditionsStandard equipment on VFF offset disc harrows are patented flail discs. These innovative discs are made of a steel treated with manganese andboron to reduce wear and increase durability. The flail disc concept improvesresidue cutting and mixing. These discs can penetrate even thehardest soils, but require less weight and power than conventionalspherical discs. The standard disc spacing is 13” (350 mm).Type Diameter ThicknessFlail (patent: Javerlhac) 32” (810 mm) 3/8” (10 mm)Built for extreme conditionsThe steel bearings aremounted with 2 conicalbearing protected by 2seals. The seals are designedto evacuate theexcess grease. Maintenanceon bearings isminimal and can be donein just a few minutes. The discs are mounted on a2” (50 mm) square shaft and are bolted for addedstrength. Discs are mounted in a spiral patternwhich improves soil movement and increasespenetration of hard and compacted soils.A rugged undercarriageThe VFF’s undercarriage is designed and built toNorth American standards to simplify maintenance.Axles Cap: 8000 lbs US standardHubs 8 holes, greasable US standardTo ensure a quality finish regardless of operating speed or soil conditions,VFF are equipped from the factory with an anti-projection discon the front gang and a lobed eraser disc on the rear gang. Ridges andfurrows will no longer be a problem. Many tire options are available on VFF disc harrows:bar thread tires are standard for a good tractionand self-cleaning action; implement type tiresare available as an option to suit each applicationand operator’s needs.Anti-projection disc (front)Lobed eraser disc (rear)Tire Diameter Width16.5L 16.1 Bar10 ply16.5L 16.1Implement14 ply41” (1040 mm) 16” (410 mm)41” (1040 mm) 16” (410 mm)
