A discussed telephonically, Eskom proposes another 765kV line <strong>from</strong> Ermelo (Camden) in Mpumalanga toEmpangeni (KZN). Three alternative <strong>co</strong>rridors for the proposed line have been identified and may impact landaround the following towns in KZN: Utrecht, Paulpietersburg, Pongola, Vryheid, Dundee, Nqutu, Ulundi, Jozini, Melmoth, Hluhluwe, Hlabisa, Mtubatuba, Kwambonambi, Richardsbaai, Eshowe and Empangeni.The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has just started, in fact, we are in the process to <strong>co</strong>mpile a backgroundinformation document and to <strong>co</strong>mpile a list of interested and affected parties.
