ROTAMAT ®Screenings Wash Press WAP/SLSuper Launder Wash Press– high-intensity agitation and washing in launder tank– highly compacted and virtually odorless screenings– volume, weight and disposal cost reduction of up to 85 %– feeding through a launder channel or directly from a screenThe QualityCompany –Worldwide

➤➤➤ FunctionThe WAP/SL operates in a batch mode. Screenings eitherdrop into the launder tank directly from a screen orconveyor, or they are flushed into the tank through alaunder channel. After a batch of screenings has beenfed, the tank is filled up with wash water and agitated foran adjustable period by means of an impeller. The fecalmatter is loosened and removed from the screenings byhigh turbulence and shear. After the washing cycle has been finished, an automaticvalve opens and the wash water drains throughperforations in the trough. It returns, together with thefecal matter, to the wastewater flow. A screw in thetrough conveys the screenings towards the mouth of atube whereby they are, as an additional option, rinsedwith spray water. The screw pushes the screeningsthrough the pressure zone where they are compressed, dewatered and compacted before they are finallydischarged through the discharge pipe into a dumpsteror bagger.➤➤➤ Feeding through alaunder channelThe screenings drop from the screen or conveyor into alaunder channel. Screened wastewater or process waterflushes the screenings through the channel into thelaunder tank of the washpress. The flush water alsoserves as wash water in the launder tank.➤➤➤ Benefits➤ High-intensity washing in launder tank➤ Compaction up to 50 % DS➤ Volume, weight and disposal cost reduction byup to 85 %➤ Screenings processing capacity ofup to 210 ft 3 /hr (6 m 3 /h)➤ All fecal matter is returned to the wastewater andavailable for denitrification➤ Screend wastewater or process water can be usedas wash water➤ Sturdy design➤ All structural parts, including the screw, are made ofstainless steel to prevent electro-chemical corrosion➤ Pickled in an acid bath for perfect finishing andcorrosion protection➤ Fast payback due to great transportation anddisposal cost savingslaunder channelwash zonelaunder tank withemergency overflowimpellermotorpress zonedischarge pipeconnection➤➤➤ Feeding directly from ascreen or conveyorThe screenings drop from the screen or conveyor intothe launder tank.
