MINUTE BOOK No. 24, CITY OF OXFORD
Motion was made by Alderman Sisk, seconded by Alderman McLaurin and
passed unanimously to adopt the following resolution:
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
ALDERMEN APPROVING SUBMISSION OF THE
WORKABLE PROGRAM FOR COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENTS
there exists in the City of Oxford, Mississippi, slums and
blighted areas; and
it appears that the most economic and feasible method for the
elimination and prevention of slums and blight is in the
Workable Program for Community Improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Oxford, Mississippi wishes to enter into an
Urban Renewal Project and Public Housing, for which the
Workable Program for Community Improvement is a requirement;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen
that the Workable Program for Community Improvement be
submitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development
for re-certification.
