DSE 5xxx Configuration Software ManualLevels DescriptionLevelMains Under voltageMains Over voltageMains Under FrequencyMains Over FrequencyFunctionThese settings are used to configure the mains under voltage alarm:-Under Voltage Trip -This is the minimum voltage that the 5220/5320 will consider theincoming AC mains supply to be within limits. Should the input fall belowthis value the module will indicate a mains failure and functionaccordingly.Under Voltage Return -This is the voltage above the under voltage trip that the incoming mainssupply must return to before the 5220/5320 module will consider that thesupply is back with in limits. (I.e. With a UV trip of 184.0V and a UVreturn of 207.0V, the mains voltage must return to 207.0V following anunder voltage event to be considered within limits.)These settings are used to configure the mains Over voltage alarm:-Over Voltage Trip -This is the maximum voltage that the 5220/5320 will consider theincoming AC mains supply to be within limits. Should this value beexceeded the module will indicate a mains failure and functionaccordingly.Over Voltage Return -This is the voltage that the incoming mains supply must return to beforethe 5220/5320 module will consider that the supply is back with in limits.(i.e. With a OV trip of 276.0V and a OV return of 253.0V, the mainsvoltage must return to 253.0V following an over voltage event to beconsidered within limits.)These settings are used to configure the mains under frequency alarm:-Under Frequency Trip -This is the minimum frequency that the 5220/5320 will consider theincoming AC mains supply to be within limits. Should the input fall belowthis value the module will indicate a mains failure and functionaccordingly.Under Voltage Return -This is the frequency above the under frequency trip that the incomingmains supply must return to before the 5220/5320 module will considerthat the supply is back with in limits. (I.e. With a UF trip of 45.0Hz and aUF return of 48.0Hz, the mains frequency must return to 48.0Hz followingan under frequency event to be considered within limits.)These settings are used to configure the mains Over frequency alarm:-Over Frequency Trip -This is the maximum frequency that the 5220/5320 will consider theincoming AC mains supply to be within limits. Should this value beexceeded the module will indicate a mains failure and functionaccordingly.Over Voltage Return -This is the frequency below the over frequency trip that the incomingmains supply must return to before the 5220/5320 module will considerthat the supply is back with in limits. (I.e. With a OF trip of 55.0Hz and aOF return of 52.0Hz, the mains frequency must return to 52.0Hz followingan over frequency event to be considered within limits.)44DSE 5xxx Configuration software ISSUE 2 02/07/04 AM
