The opticalmodule together with the photodiode array –these are the characteristic features of theSpectroquant ® NOVA 400 photometer.Bar-code identificationA unique bar code gives each test kit an unmistakeableidentity. When the cell is insertedor the AutoSelector function is activated (whenanalyzing with a reagent test), the photometerscans the bar code. The instrument automaticallyidentifies the method in question, accesses thenecessary stored data, and within a matter ofminutes displays the measurement result in thedesired data format. Manual settings are nolonger required.Rechargeable powerpack for mobile useWith the rechargeable powerpack-operatedSpectroquant ® NOVA 30A and NOVA 60Aphotometers, up to 500 measurements can bemade in one week in the powerpack mode.Method updateNew methods can be swiftly and effortlesslydownloaded into the instruments by meansof the method-update software. The softwarecan be downloaded free of charge athttp://photometry.merck.de and transferredfrom the PC to the photometer via the serialdata-transfer cable. Your photometer saves thenew data automatically and reliably. Job done.Automatic method selection bymeans of the bar code on thecells or by the Autoselectorfunction, an integral componentof every reagent test kit.14
