For the restoration of OFC cuts along the P/L routes, normal charges as per the SOR-Bshall be paid to the contractor.(b)The Bidder as part of his bid has to submit a detailed plan for the maintenance of the network including the detailsof the man-power and equipments proposed to be located at different sites to cover the jurisdiction as described in"Annexure-A", the communication facilities, the planned maintenance bases and the detailed plans to fulfill the tenderconditions. The successful Bidder shall mobilize the maintenance team & the equipment within 7 days from the date ofFax of intent (FOI).The list of minimum man & machine required to constitute one maintenance team shall be but not limited to the listmentioned under Annexure-B.The number of maintenance team to be deployed for the mentioned OFC sections & placement of the team should be asmentioned in Annexure-A. However, the responsibility of workability of the same with respect to the traveling time,availability of end to end OFC connectivity & the time under which the fault is to be attended lies with the contractorto meet the target.7. TESTS AND INSPECTION:7.1 Drawings accompanying the Bid Document are indicative of the nature of work and are issued for bidding andinformation purposes only.7.2 The work is subject to inspection at all times by the Engineer-in-Charge and his representative/ consultant. TheCONTRACTOR shall carry out all instructions given during inspection and shall ensure that the work is being carriedout according to the technical specifications of this tender, the technical documents and the relevant codes of practicefurnished to him during the performance of the work.7.3 The CONTRACTOR shall provide AC/DC power source and necessary instruments at his own cost for inspectionof work.8. STATUTORY APPROVALS:8.1 CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for obtaining approval at his own cost from statutory authorities likeMunicipal Corporation, Development Authorities, Electricity Department PWD ,NHAI and any other concernedauthority as required for carrying out the repair and maintenance work and the same will be considered as the part ofrepair time . However all statutory payments towards ROU permission for new OFC laying works shall be borne by<strong>GAIL</strong>.8.2 Inspection and acceptance of the work by statutory authorities shall not relieve the CONTRACTOR from any of hisresponsibilities under this contract. No objections will be obliged by contractor from respective Central/StateGovt/Autonomous bodies after new OFC laying in spur route/rerouting of OFC.8.3 Any changes/additions required to be made to meet the requirements of statutory authorities, shall be carried out bythe CONTRACTOR, within the contract price, and at no additional cost to Owner.9. SERVICES AND UTILITIES:9.1 Drains, pipes, cables, overhead wires and similar services encountered in the course of the works shall be guardedfrom injury by the CONTRACTOR at his own cost, so that they may continue in full and uninterrupted use to thesatisfaction of the Owners thereof.9.2 Should any damage be done by the CONTRACTOR to any AC Power mains, utility pipelines cables or lines(whether above or below ground etc) whether or not show on the drawings the CONTRACTOR must make good orbear the cost of making good the same without delay to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.9.3 CONTRACTOR shall observe in addition to Codes specified in respective specification, all national and local laws,ordinances, rules and regulations and requirements pertaining to the WORK and shall be responsible for extra costsarising from violations of the same.9.4 CONTRACTOR shall have at all times during the performance of the WORK, a competent superintendent on thesite. Any instruction given to such Superintendent shall be construed as having been given to the CONTRACTOR.9.5 CONTRACTOR shall take extra care for safety of GAS/LPG pipelines of <strong>GAIL</strong> and of others to avoid any damageto the pipelines and its coatings. Incase of any damage to Pipeline coating etc, the repair work will be carried out by<strong>GAIL</strong> and amount will be recovered from contractor#s running bill.SPECIAL CONTRACT AND CONDITIONSThe following special terms and conditions of contract shall supplement the general conditions of contract. Whenever,there is a conflict, the provisions herein shall prevail over those in the General Conditions.1. CONTRACTOR may quote for each sections for respective OFC routes as per their choices, covered underjurisdictions described in #Annexure-A#. Bid evaluation shall be carried out separately for each section.While quoting, it is advisable that the prospective bidder shall make themselves fully conversant with the locations,OFC routes and types of jobs in details to be carried out therein as per the tender requirement, so that they clearlyunderstand the scope of work and assess the requirement of resources to complete the work in scheduled time.
