BECOMING A CERTIFICATE STUDENTCertificate Programs are open to anyone interested in pursuing a certificate forpr<strong>of</strong>essional <strong>and</strong> personal growth. The only prerequisite is a high school diplomaor its equivalent. A majority <strong>of</strong> our students have completed an undergraduate orgraduate degree in an area entirely different from the Certificate Program in whichthey are enrolled. To become a Certificate c<strong>and</strong>idate, complete the online CertificateDeclaration Form <strong>and</strong> submit it online or by fax to the Continuing Education Officewith the $25 nonrefundable processing fee. Certificate Program Declarations areaccepted throughout the year <strong>and</strong> students may begin a program in any quarter. Thereis no deadline for completing a program once begun. Many students take one course aquarter <strong>and</strong> earn a certificate in two years <strong>and</strong> others take two courses a quarter <strong>and</strong>earn a certificate in one year. All courses are <strong>of</strong>fered in alternate quarters (for example,a course <strong>of</strong>fered in the spring will be <strong>of</strong>fered again in the fall; a course <strong>of</strong>fered in thesummer will be <strong>of</strong>fered again in the winter).
