The status barAt the bottom of the window, the status bar contains useful in<strong>for</strong>mation about thecurrent editor, build status, and debugging environment. The status bar is divided intotwo regions, one that contains a set of fixed panels and the other that is used <strong>for</strong>messages.The message areaThe leftmost part of the status bar is a message area that is used <strong>for</strong> things such as statustips, progress in<strong>for</strong>mation, warnings, errors, and other notifications.The status bar panelsYou can show or hide the following panels on the status bar:PanelTarget device statusCycle count panelInsert/overwrite statusRead only statusBuild statusDescriptionDisplays the connected target interface.When connected,this panel contains the selected target interface nameand, if applicable, the processor that the target interfaceis connected to. The LED icon flashes green whenprograms are running, is solid red when stopped at abreakpoint, and is yellow when connected but notrunning a program. Double clicking this panel displaysthe Targets window and ight clicking it brings up theTarget menu.Displays the number of processor cycles run by theexecuting program. This panel is only visible if thecurrently connected target supports per<strong>for</strong>mancecounters which can report the total number of cyclesexecuted. Double clicking this panel resets the cyclecounter to zer, and right clicking this panel beings up theCycle Count menu.Indicates whether the current editor is in insert oroverwrite mode. If the editor is in overwrite mode theOVR panel is highlighted otherwise it is dimmed.Indicates whether the editor is in read only mode. If theeditor is editing a read only file or is in read only mode,the READ panel is highlighted otherwise it is dimmed.Indicates the success or failure of the last build. If the lastbuild completed without errors or warnings, the buildstatus pane contains “Build OK” otherwise it contains thenumber of errors and warnings reported.
