Connecting the mechanics andelectricsFasten the <strong>eLINE</strong> Compact Module tothe mounting base with clamping fixtures(accessories).Connect the cable set (accessory) andreference switch (provided) to the matchingsockets in the box on the drive.The pre-assembled cables have mechanicallycoded connectors to avoid confusionand polarity reversal. Wire up the freecable ends to the customer-built electricalsystem and connect to the24 V DC power supply.2. Setting the drive parametersDownload the ready-made parameterfiles from the <strong>Bosch</strong> <strong>Rexroth</strong> website.These files contain pre-compiled andtested parameter sets for each typeand size of <strong>eLINE</strong> Compact Module,which considerably simplifies the set-upprocedure.The parameter sets are transmitted viathe RS485 interface on the drive. Programming the travel commandsCreation of dedicated travel profilesDownload the IcIA Easy start-up softwarefrom the <strong>Bosch</strong> <strong>Rexroth</strong> website.The IcIA Easy allows convenient programmingand editing of four differenttravel profiles and up to fifteen positioningblocks. Relative and absolute referencescan be freely combined.The travel commands are transmitted tothe drive via the RS485 interface.Up to 15 positions can be permanentlystored in the drive (EPROM). Selection ofthe programmed positioning blocks canbe performed directly (via digital I/Os orsequentially sequential positioning blockprocessing). The target positions for thetravel commands can be entered directlyor registered and stored using the teachinmode.Programming of travel commandsThe programmed travel commands canbe invoked via the IcIA Easy software orvia the hard-wired I/Os (using a handheldoperator control unit or a higher-levelcontrol system). <strong>eLINE</strong> Compact Modulescan also be traversed manually in jogmode (even without using the start-upsoftware).The IcIA Easy software allows storage andup-loading of the compiled positioningprograms, for easy creation and maintenanceof a program library.
