The Second Floor<br />
The second floor originally housed two courtrooms. The West Courtroom was the<br />
original district judge’s courtroom and the East Courtroom served the traveling<br />
Circuit Court. In 1993, the West Courtroom was renamed the “William E. Steckler<br />
Ceremonial Courtroom” in memory <strong>of</strong> Judge Steckler appointed in 1950 and who<br />
served as judge until his death in 1995.<br />
