Common Operations > Loading PaperLoading Paper in the CassettesThe standard cassette will each hold plain paper, recycled paper or color paper. The standard cassette holds up to 500sheets of plain paper (80 g/m²).The following paper sizes are supported: Ledger, Letter-R, Letter, Legal, Statement-R, Oficio II, A3, B4, A4, A4-R, A5-R,B5, B5-R, Folio, 216 × 340 mm, 8K, 16K-R, and 16K.NOTEYou should not use inkjet printer paper or any paper with a special surface coating. (Such paper may cause paperjams or other faults.)When using media types other than plain paper (such as recycled or colored paper), always specify the media typesetting. (Refer to Media Type on page 9-8) The cassettes can hold paper with weights up to 163 g/m². If you are usinga paper weight between 106 and 163 g/m², set the media type to Thick.Do not load thick paper that is heavier than 163 g/m² in the cassettes. Use the multi purpose tray for paper that isheavier than 163 g/m².If the machine will not be used for a prolonged period, protect all paper from humidity by removing it from thecassettes and sealing it in the paper storage bag.1Adjust the cassette size.12Adjust the cassette size to reflect the size of paper being loaded.
