<strong>ADVANCED</strong> <strong>HOLISTIC</strong> NURSE <strong>TRACK</strong>Introduction to the Advanced Holistic Nursing TrackThis 33-36 credit track advances knowledge of contemporary views of healing and holisticnursing practice grounded in caring. The Advanced Holistic Nursing (ADHN) concentrationcourses offer content and practice in the integration of mind-body practices, manipulative bodypractices, and energy-based healing modalities to promote health and well-being.Graduates of this program track are eligible to sit for Board Certification in Advanced HolisticNursing (AHN-BC).Completely online full and part time study is available. The practicum needs of students invarious geographic areas can be accommodated.Preceptor and practicum site decisions are determined in collaboration with Faculty. Thepracticum hours may be completed at the students’ place of employment, if appropriate, withan approved preceptor.A post master’s certificate (PMC) in ADHN may be earned upon completion of 9-12 approvedcredit hours.Admission Requirements• Earned B.S.N. from an accredited bachelor’s program in nursing.• Minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the final 60 baccalaureate-level coursecredits in the B.S.N. program (Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test(MAT) scores are required for applicants with a grade point average of less than 3.0).• Basic undergraduate statistics course.• Baccalaureate-level, upper-division nursing research course.• Résumé or Curriculum vitae (CV) presented in specified format located onthe College of Nursing website.• A written essay describing the student’s philosophy of nursing (guidelines located on theCollege of Nursing website).• Two letters of recommendation (guidelines located on the College of Nursing website).• Current RN licensure to practice nursing.• An interview and on-site writing sample may be required.• Practice experience is not required but may be considered as part of the overall quality ofthe application.• Background check (completed upon admission).http://nursing.fau.edu
