Therefore mostrecreation expenditures forthe Mojave come fromrecreation users not goingthru Baker.Barstow is at the heart ofthe Mojave Study Area withtraffic coming in from LAvia highway 15 and fromthe west via highway 58.An increase in recreationrelated expenditures couldhave a significant positiveeffect on Barstow.Dagget is located about 5miles east of Barstow andmajority of travelers willstock up in Barstow andonly use Dagget for lastminute supplies.
