(Other days such as Saturday or Monday may beused – if necessary).WHEREThe Barium Springs Family <strong>YMCA</strong> located at 122 Grannis Lane, Statesville, NC 28677.Practices and games will be held on the Barium Springs soccer fields, which are located beside the <strong>YMCA</strong>. Alternate locations may be used if necessary.OTHER INFORMATIONTeam uniforms and equipment?Children should wear the team shirts that the <strong>YMCA</strong> provides. Both cleats and tennis shoes are acceptable.Baseball gloves are REQUIRED of all participants. Children may bring their own bat and helmet, although the<strong>YMCA</strong> will be providing these as well. You can find most of these items at either Wal-Mart or Hibbett Sports(Statesville, NC) or Dick’s Sporting Goods (Hickory, NC or Mooresville, NC).What happens in the case of bad weather?Practices/games may be cancelled due to threatening weather. Decisions to cancel due to weather will not bemade until 3:30pm. To find out if a practice/game has been cancelled you may call the <strong>YMCA</strong> after 3:30pm, orcheck the <strong>YMCA</strong>’s sports page, www.ymcanwnc.org (Once a decision to cancel has been made all coaches willbe notified via phone & e-mail). All games cancelled due to weather will be re-scheduled and made up, unlessotherwise posted! There may be times where the decision to cancel will be made on the field!


When will the season end?July 26 is the tentative date that has been set for the season to be completed by. The first (2) weeks of theprogram will be just for practices and after that we will only play games. Your team will be scheduled to play(8) games.Does the <strong>YMCA</strong> provide trophies?All participants will receive a trophy for the summer T-Ball program. The <strong>YMCA</strong> will furnish trophies to theteam coach who in turn will hand them out to the players. Coaches are asked not to purchase additionaltokens or awards for their players in order to keep the program recognition process consistent for allplayers.Will the teams have their Pictures made?Yes. The date and schedule for Picture Night is TBD.Will there be an End-of-Season-Party?Yes. The date and schedule for the End-of-Season-Party is TBD.How do I Sponsor a Team? And why should I?Contact Jefferson Waugh, whose contact information is listed below. By sponsoring a team you will get yourcompany’s name on the back of you team’s shirts! As the sponsor you also get to pick the team’s name andcolor (if you choose)! You will also receive a plaque at the end of the season with the team’s picture for yourcontributions! Last year hundreds of children participated in youth sports at the <strong>YMCA</strong>. As program costscontinue to rise the Y looks for sponsors to help maintain the same cost to the participant.
