Till date no oneknows his whereabouts. I happened to be the batch leader in thehostel. I always felt guilty as I thought my bossism was alsosomeway responsible for his sudden disappearance.Ever since whenever I saw street children I always rememberedmy friend and thought he too might have lived a similar life andwanted to take a closer look at the lives <strong>of</strong> those children. Thefilm, hence, was an attempt towards the same…..trying tounderstand the ways and means <strong>of</strong> a life that my friend mighthave lived….a way <strong>of</strong> life that is thought to the breeding for thecriminals and unsocial elements <strong>of</strong> the future.Having spent the childhood in a hostel and always longed forthe family life I was also curious about the lives <strong>of</strong> these runawaychildren, who seemed to be happy being away from home. Iwanted to find if they were really happy and if so what madethem so. I wanted to take a look at one personal story andthrough that personal story I wanted to speak about <strong>of</strong> millionssimilar stories all over the world.64 65
