Refer to page 107 to configure the master and remote (slave) displays. There areseveral different configurations for Master to remote (slave) indicator connection andsetup. Since there are two communication ports on both the master and slave units, itis possible to connect a printer or computer.Figure 3.8 Master Indicator to Remote (Slave) Indicator Connections3.7 Hazardous Area OptionsThese options have been Factory Mutual approved to operate in a hazardous area.DO NOT INSTALL THE SETPOINT OPTION OR ANALOG OUTPUTOPTION INSIDE OF THE MODEL 350/355 I.S. ENCLOSURE LOCATEDIN THE HAZARDOUS AREA. INSTALL THESE OPTIONS IN THE SAFEAREA INDICATOR. REFER TO PAGE 42 FOR INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS.3.7.1 Battery Power Supply (External)Part number 24H350-3502AThe battery is enclosed in a stainless steel case and cannot be removed from the case.The battery module is mounted on the indicator swivel bracket. The battery will operateapproximately 200 continuous hours with LCD display (backlight off, 1 load cell and nooptions installed) or 100 hours with the LED display (one load cell and no optionsinstalled). Please do not throw away old battery packs. Recycle or return to placeof purchase for recycling.Mount the battery module in the swivel bracket:1. Hold the battery module in both hands. Make sure the connectors on thebattery module are facing the back of the indicator.2. Line up the two protrusions on each side of the battery module with the sliderails on the swivel bracket.3. Push the module into the slide rails until the knobs drop into the slots in theswivel bracket.4. Tighten the knobs to hold the battery module in the swivel bracket.36Model 350 I.S. and Model 355 I.S. Battery ChargingTHE BATTERY MUST BE CHARGED IN THE SAFE AREAConnect the battery to the Avery Weigh-Tronix battery charger. Connect the batterycharger to AC power. Charging will take approximately 3.5 hours.Low Battery IndicationThe low battery annunciator will be lit when the voltage reaches a low threshold andthe low battery message (Lo Bat) is shown on the display for 1.5 seconds every 15seconds.Flat (discharged) Battery ShutdownThe indicator will shutdown after five minutes of flat (discharged) battery condition.3.7.2 AC To DC Power Supply (External)Part number 24H350-3501ANOTE: For ATEX When one power supply is used to power two indicators then thecombination cannot be used in a Zone 1 or a IIC gas group hazard.For ATEX ensure AC cable is protected in conduit which is sealed with appropriateATEX approved conduit seal device.For ATEX the AC supply must be protected by a 4000A breaking capacity fuse of theappropriate current rating, i.e. 3AThe AC- DC power supply is in a stainless steel enclosure which is remotely mounted.The power supply is capable of powering up to (2) Model 350/355 I.S. indicators in gasGroups F & G and (1) Model 350/355 I.S. indicator in gas Groups A-G or IIC.
