3 InstallationThe Model 350/355 I.S. stainless steel enclosure meets NEMA 4X type specifications.The encapsulant used is Dow Corning "Sylgard 170" Silicone Elastomer.Do not allow the power supply or battery pack to be immersed in hazardousliquid, or to be subjected to any condensation of the hazardous atmosphere.If the power supply or battery pack is likely to be splashed with hazardousliquid, protect it with a splash guard.Never mount the power supply or battery pack in a position where it ispermanently subjected to hazardous atmosphere, such as in a pit, or anyclosed, unventilated space. Always mount the unit in a position whichminimizes its' exposure to the hazardous gas, vapor, or dust.The heating effect of the sun must be taken into account when installinghazardous area equipment, especially in hot climates. If exposed to directsunlight, it is possible that the temperature class (T4 = 135 ºC, T3 = 200 ºC ) maybe exceeded.Contact Avery <strong>Weigh</strong>-Tronix for further information with regard to hazardanalysis, and compatibility of equipment with hazardous materials.3.1 Control DrawingsControl drawings provide details of the allowed interconnections between the Model350 I.S. and Model 355 I.S. indicators, their options, and other possible devices.
