This literature review will conclude by show how these previous studiesrelate to the main thesis.2.2 Human Resource PlanningIt has become essential to break down the job description in order to attract employees bymeans of advertising, and to create an analysis of the job that gives the relative worth ofemployment within an organization. This can facilitate the recruitment of individuals into thecompany. Recruitment is a process through which the most qualified applicant can be selected inorder to be placed in the organization and help it to achieve its goals most effectively(McConnell, 1993, pp.36-37).The main purpose of this form of management has been to provide conditions that cansatisfy future human resource demands for an organization and to nullify any inconsistencieswithin the interest of the organization’s employees. It also attempts to eliminate losses to thecompany caused by less productivity, absenteeism, ineffective training regimens, and decreasedrevenue. It has become an integral part of an organization’s structure and function due to itsrelatively low cost and highly effective results (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service,2008).2.3 Job AnalysisOne of the most important aspects of human resource management is job analysis. “Jobanalysis is the process of systematically obtaining information about jobs by determining whatthe duties, tasks and responsibilities of those jobs are in the context of a specific job” (Marie,Muller and Bezuidenhout, 2006, p.254).
