Each member of EXCOMpossesses the necessary qualifications,skills and expertise to head his/herrespective Division.EXCOM meets formally once a month todiscuss and make strategic decisionsthat steer the <strong>Fund</strong> to the fulfilment ofits mandate. UYF Executive Committee iscurrently constituted as follows:Jennifer LawChief Financial OfficerJennifer Law is a qualified CharteredAccountant, and has worked in thedevelopment finance sector since 2000,including the National Housing FinanceCorporation as the CFO. Prior to joiningthe public sector, she held the position ofFinance Director at Alexander Forbes; beingappointed the youngest Executive Directorin the Adcorp Holdings Group; as well ashaving been an entrepreneur owning smallbusinesses.Jennifer supports the CEO and EXCOM instrategic matters, and leads the FinancialManagement and ICT teams. Her academicqualifications include a Master’s in PublicFinance and a postgraduate degree inCorporate Governance.Lucy HlubiActing Divisional Director: Skills Development and TransferLucy Hlubi joined UYF in November 2003 as Programme Manager, School-to-Work,managing a portfolio of over R100 million per annum. Her work experience includesworking at the National Business Initiative’s Colleges Collaboration <strong>Fund</strong> as a ProjectManager, as part of the team that supported the DoE in the reconfiguration andcapacitating of the FETC landscape; and also at <strong>Youth</strong> Development Trust as a ProgrammeCo-ordinator which included projects such as the Nokia Leadership DevelopmentProgramme and other skills programmes implemented by FETCs. She holds a Bachelorof Arts degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, and is currently finalising aMaster’s in Business Administration (MBA) with Milpark Business School.Ncedi HluyoDivisional Director: Capacity Building and ResearchNcedi Hluyo holds a BA Honours degree in Industrial Social Work Specialisation fromthe University of the Witwatersrand, and is a trained and experienced social workerand education and training development practitioner. She worked for the then AngloAlpha Ltd as an Employee Wellness Manager for 5 years and as a social worker for theAssociation for the Physically Disabled for over 2 years. In 1994, Ncedi became involvedin training at Primeserv, and was later appointed as a Manager of the Siyakhula Trustfounded by Primeserv. In June 2002 she joined the UYF as the Capacity Building Managerand was promoted a year later to Divisional Director.Nombini MehlomakuluDivisional Director: CommunicationsNombini Mehlomakulu completed her BA Honours degree at Natal University. She furthercompleted the Management Advancement Programme with the Wits Business School andobtained her CPFA at the Wits Business School. Nombini has over nine years of experiencein advertising and corporate relations. Previously she was heading up Investor Relationsat Sage Group. Before that she was a Director: Corporate Affairs for the Women’sInvestment Portfolio Holding (WIPHOLD). Career highlights include: advising Governmenton the Telkom IPO and the listing of Telkom on the JSE and the New York Stock Exchange,and a capital raising exercise for the Sage Group.
