The configuration of the relays depends on the application'srequirements. For applications which do not use the reversecurrent brake functionality, the following settings may beused.Menu Description Setting530 Relay K1 (terminals 21 and 22) Operation R (8)531 Relay K2 (terminals 23 and 24) Operation L (9)With these settings the functionality is as follows:If terminals 11 and 12 are closed to terminal 13 while theconnection between terminals 16 and 18 is open, the mainscontactor for running in right direction will be activated byrelay K1 and the motor will start in right direction. The connectionbetween terminals 11 and 13 can be opened duringrunning right without any effect. If the connection betweenterminals 12 and 13 is opened, a stop according to the stopsettings in menus [320] to [325] will be performed. Whenthe stop is finished, the mains contactor for running rightwill be deactivated by relay K1.If terminal 12 is closed to terminal 13 and terminal 16 isclosed to terminal 18 while the connection between terminals11 and 13 is open, the mains contactor for running inleft direction will be activated by relay K2 and the motorwill start in left direction. The connection between terminals16 and 18 can be opened during running left without anyeffect. If the connection between terminals 12 and 13 isopened, a stop according to the stop settings in menus [320]to [325] will be performed. When the stop is finished, themains contactor for running left will be deactivated by relayK2.If both start terminals (11 and 16) are closed to their respectivesupply voltage at the same time, a stop is performedaccording to the stop settings in menus [320] to [325]. Inthis case no start will be allowed.A motor can be reversed from right to left direction as follows:Open the connection between terminals 11 and 13while the motor is running in right direction. then close terminal16 to terminal 18. As a result the voltage to the motoris switched off and the mains contactor for running right isdeactivated by relay K1. After a time delay of 500 ms themains contactor for running left will be activated by relayK2 and a start in left direction will be performed.
