4. ConnectionsThe description of installation in this chapter follows theEMC standards and the Machinery Directive.If the softstarter is temporarily stored before being connected,please check the technical data for environmentalconditions. If the softstarter is moved from a cold storageroom to the room where it is to be installed, condensationcan form on it. Allow the softstarter to become fully acclimatisedand wait until any visible condensation has evaporatedbefore connecting the mains voltage.NOTE: With the IT-net option the connection of the mainssupply EMC-filters to earth are removed. In this caseouter measures have to be taken to fulfil EMCregulations according to section 13.7, page 120.NOTE: For UL-approval use 75°C Copper wire only.NOTE: The softstarter must be wired with shieldedcontrol cable to fulfil EMC regulations according tosection 13.7, page 120.Emotron AB 01-4135-01r2 Connections 19
