This study will continue through 2010 and willinclude assessments of the biological and hydrological conditions in Northern Tampa Bay tosupport the development of minimum flows and levels, water resource recovery, water usepermitting, and environmental resource permitting. NTB II consists of a series of technical projectsin Northern Tampa Bay to support the ongoing development of minimum flows and levels, waterresources recovery, water use permitting, and environmental resource permitting.The goal of the NTB II project is to enhance the data collection effort, implement projects for theassessment of water supply needs, and to develop a water resources recovery strategy. As of2005, 30 nested groundwater monitoring sites have been installed and 50 new wetland monitoringsites have been established, many of them in the Northwest Hillsborough area. These projectsinclude detailed assessments of water resources and involve intensive data collection andmonitoring to characterize hydrologic conditions and determine the effects of water withdrawals(SWFWMD, 2000).9-11 Rocky/Brushy Creek Watershed Management Plan
