Star Trek Armada IIThe damage system in Armada II has been completely revised. We now utilize a newfacing based damage system. Depending on where you attack a ship it will dodamage to different systems. The only race not effected by this is the Borg whoseredundant systems makes attacks against different sides of the ship equallyeffective.Available NowStar Trek: Armada IIWhen weapons damage hits a vessel each ship will absorb a percentage of thedamage to the shields. The spillover damage is then applied to the underlyingsystems. When the shields are eliminated all the damage will go to the underlyingsystems.Depending on the facing where the damage is occurring different systems will beeffected. Each ship class has different rates of shield absorption and this will effectthe spillover damage.Attacking a ship from the front is more likely to damage your enemy's Life Support,Weapons, and Sensor Arrays. Attacking a ship from the rear will do damage to theengines.TM and © 2001 Paramount Pictures.
