A motion to accept theminutes were made by Tony Vechiola, seconded by Ruth Mulac, and was passedunanimously.President’s Report – Len HardyLen reported that the Basketball booster club has elected new officers. They are as follows:o Chris Bairdo Mark Rendallo Paul Abtso Tom WhitePresidentV/P - Boys underclassmenV/P - Girls varsityV/P - Boys varsityo Greg Kulbeda V/P - Girls underclassmenLen stated that all the membership forms have been labeled, stamped, and delivered to theU46 district office to be mailed out.Len reminded the clubs that all individual activity group meetings that are held at BHS need toinform the BHS administration (Mark Leffler) when the meetings are being held. Also, DanKallenbach should be copied on these requests.Athletic Director’s Report – Dan KallenbachDan reported on the following items.Boys Sectional Golf: The team missed qualifying for state by 1 shot. Tim Kay qualifiedfor the state competition in Bloomingdale.Girls Sectional Golf: Chris Birdi qualified for the state competition in Carbondale.A wrestling coach has been named – Gary Cody.A question was asked by the golf booster club on the displaying of any trophies for the co-opgirls golf team. Dan stated that BHS is the primary team and the trophy would be hosted atBHS. Bartlett High SchoolBooster ClubMeeting MinutesShelley & Bob are still in transition of converting the treasurer’s responsibilities to Shelley andthe financial reports are in process of being created.Committee ReportsCommunications – Joe PaladinoClub ReportsThere will be football broadcasts for the last 2 games and the 1 st round of the playoffs.As a reminder, we will be happy to announce any of the clubs activities on the radio.Please e-mail these to Joe.Basketball – Chris BairdChris made a motion to that basketball would like to spend $3,650 on new basketballuniforms for the freshman teams (Boys/Girls). Joe Paladino seconded the motionand it was unanimously approved.Chris made a motion to that basketball would like to spend $2,400 on referees for theboy’s feeder tournament on 12/17 & 12/18. Tony Vechiola seconded the motion andit was unanimously approved.Football – Tony Vechiola Tony stated that freshman boys team is currently 7 – 0.Tony made a motion to that football would like to spend $11,000 for new varsityuniforms (jersey’s & pants). The football booster club will pay 2/3 of the total cost ofthe uniforms. Chris Baird seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.Cheerleading – Donna Hall (Proxy)There is change in the Bill George Cheer competition. On 10/16, 3 rd – 5 th graders willcompete and on 10/23, 6 th – 8 th graders will compete.Donna made a motion to that cheerleading would like to spend $1,800 on cheer wear,from Dehen and $1,100 from Inspired Attire. Tony Vechiola seconded the motion andit was unanimously approved.Cheerleading received an e-mail request, on 10/20, to cheer at the freshman A & Bgames. This will require approval from the coach.A question was poised to the cheerleading group why there were no cheerleaders atthe Harlem game. Donna stated that this was a coach’s decision.Wrestling – Joe PaladinoJoe stated that wrestling will host the regional tournament & 7 home meets. Thewrestling booster club would like to have the Dance team perform at these events.Joe will follow up with the dance team on this request.The wrestling kick-off dinner will be held on 11/17 and the booster club executiveboard is invited to attend.Dance – Debbie BuchmillerDebbie made a motion to accept the changes made to dance booster club by-laws(name changes). Bartlett High SchoolBooster ClubMeeting MinutesCross Country – Sue McSherrySoccer – Jean McNellySue stated that cross country will be hosting the conference meet at Sunrise Park. Jean stated that senior recognition night will be held on 10/13.Old BusinessThe varsity team will be playing St. Charles East in the first round of the playoffs.None.New BusinessDan Kallenbach stated that they are examining what would be required to install anirrigation system on the Football, Soccer, Softball, and the Baseball fields. This wouldbe paid for by the individual groups and through their fund raisers. This is a BHSproject only and no funding from U46 will be received. This does have the supportfrom the U46 head of grounds. More information to follow.Tony Vechiola motioned to adjourn the meeting. The motioned was seconded by Joe Paladinoand was approved unanimously.
