Article 7Seniority Committee in advance of <strong>the</strong> hearing relevant documents including, withoutlimitation, all involved seniority lists, prior Joint Committee or Board of ArbitrationAwards which have affected <strong>the</strong> composition of <strong>the</strong> existing seniority lists, projecteddates or effective dates of <strong>the</strong> events leading to <strong>the</strong> seniority issues involved and allo<strong>the</strong>r relevant information.(f) These procedures shall not apply to grievances arising under <strong>the</strong> additional helpprovisions contained in <strong>the</strong> applicable supplemental agreements or individual grievancesfiled by employees protesting <strong>the</strong>ir relative ranking on a seniority list. These disputes shallbe resolved in accordance with <strong>the</strong> remaining provisions of Article 7 of this <strong>Agreement</strong>.Section 18.Grievant's Bill of RightsAll employees who file grievances under <strong>the</strong> <strong>Agreement</strong> and its Supplemental <strong>Agreement</strong>sare entitled to have <strong>the</strong>ir cases decided fairly and promptly. In order to satisfy <strong>the</strong>seobjectives and promote confidence in <strong>the</strong> integrity of <strong>the</strong> grievance procedures, allemployees who file grievances are entitled to <strong>the</strong> following rights:1. Grievants and Stewards shall be informed by <strong>the</strong>ir Local Union of <strong>the</strong> time andplace of <strong>the</strong> hearing.2. Grievants and Stewards are permitted to attend, at <strong>the</strong>ir own expense, <strong>the</strong>hearing in cases in which <strong>the</strong>y are involved, unless o<strong>the</strong>rwise agreed to by <strong>the</strong>Employer and Local Union.3. The Employer shall provide any pertinent and relevant information identifiedwith reasonable specificity within fifteen (15) days of receipt of a written request by <strong>the</strong>Local Union, Steward or grievant.4. All cases involving seniority or a discharge shall be recorded, except forexecutive sessions. Transcriptions of <strong>the</strong>se proceedings shall be prepared in responseto written requests by <strong>the</strong> Local Union at <strong>the</strong> reasonable cost of transcription, whichshall be borne by <strong>the</strong> employee or party making <strong>the</strong> request.5. A grievant or Steward may request permission to present argument in supportof <strong>the</strong> case in addition to <strong>the</strong> evidence or argument presented by <strong>the</strong> Local Union.6. All Joint Committees shall provide written decisions describing <strong>the</strong> reasonsrelied upon in reaching <strong>the</strong> decision, and upon request of <strong>the</strong> Employer or <strong>the</strong> LocalUnion, copies shall be provided during <strong>the</strong> course of <strong>the</strong> Joint Committee meeting that<strong>the</strong> case is decided.38
