Dzemeshkevich, M.D., ProfessorProfessor Dzemeshkevich is one of the leading cardiac surgeons in Russia.He is the director of the Petrovsky National Research Center of Surgeryand the head of the Surgical Faculty at I.M. Sechenov First MoscowState Medical University.Not only a pioneer in successfully performing several orthotopic hearttransplants in Russia, Professor Dzemeshkevich commands almost allkinds of open heart interventions.His research scope is as broad as his practical skills. ProfessorDzemeshkevich is the author of more than 300 scientific publicationsincluding seven monographs.His research and his experience in cardiac surgery were awardedby a number of prizes.
