For cyclists, National Cycle Network Route 1 <strong>of</strong>fers a<br />

fascinating journey through <strong>West</strong> <strong>Norfolk</strong>, from the mystical<br />

Fens in the west, through King’s <strong>Lynn</strong> and northwards to the<br />

coast. Just south <strong>of</strong> King’s <strong>Lynn</strong> route 1 connects with<br />

national route 11, giving a fine link through to Cambridge.<br />

Elsewhere several suggested routes provide a shorter ride.<br />

Renowned throughout Britain, the special environment <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>West</strong> <strong>Norfolk</strong> provides some <strong>of</strong> the finest nature reserves in<br />

the country and outstanding opportunities for bird watching.<br />

From famous reserves along the coast, and the unique<br />

and the neighbouring Brecks, there are great opportunities<br />
