Some incentives are targeted at specific economic sectors, such asmanufacturing, processing and certain service sectors. The federal government also provides supportthrough the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.Unlike most U.S. states, many of the incentives available in Atlantic Canada take the form of forgivableloans, interest-free repayable loans, equity participation, or combinations thereof.
