It had the largestnormal school enrollment in America in 1876. TheLutheran University Association purchased the schooland named it Valparaiso University in 1925. Todaymore than 5,000 full-time and part-time students attendthe university.The photo editors and committee members acknowledgethe important role of the churches in the growthof Valparaiso.
