Sightseeing<br />
Austria: Salzburg is a beautiful historic city where<br />
stunning buildings rise up against the backdrop of<br />
the Austrian Alps. It was here that the great<br />
classical composer Mozart was born, visit his<br />
birthplace and his residence, which are now both<br />
museums. Also don’t miss Hellbrunn Castle and<br />
Hohensalzburg Fortress. <strong>The</strong> busy city of Vienna<br />
offers stunning Baroque buildings, such as the<br />
Hofburg Palace, home to the Schatzkammer,<br />
which holds treasure from as far back as the Holy<br />
Roman Empire; and the Spanish Riding School<br />
where the world famous Lipizzaner stallions<br />
perform their dance.<br />
Switzerland: Geneva is a stunning cosmopolitan<br />
city set on the shores of Lake Geneva, with its<br />
landmark attraction the Jet d’Eau. St Peter’s<br />
Cathedral and <strong>The</strong> Museum of Art and History are<br />
just two of Geneva’s highlights. Lucerne is a<br />

charming city, which is split by the River Reuss.<br />
Take out a pedalo on the lake or pose for<br />
photographs on the famous wooden Chapel<br />
Bridge. Interlaken is situated between the lakes<br />
of Thun and Brienz and offers a variety of water<br />
sports in summer, and winter sports in the<br />
Bernese Alps and its valleys. It also connects to<br />
the famous cog railway leading to the plateau of<br />
the Jungfrau Mountain.<br />
Shopping<br />
Austria: Visit the open-air Naschmarkt in Vienna,<br />
selling a wide range of local delicacies or head to<br />
Mariahilfer Strasse for trendy fashion, jewellery and<br />
accessories.<br />
Switzerland: Discover the wonderful flea markets<br />
of Geneva and make sure you pick up some gifts<br />
from the chocolate shops.<br />
Eating & Drinking<br />
Calorie laden cream cakes, pastries and<br />
chocolate are a must with your mid-morning<br />
coffee. In Vienna you have to try the famous<br />
Sachertorte cake and visit Café Central, one of<br />
the most famous cafés in the world. Whilst in<br />
Switzerland head to the lakeside cafes and enjoy<br />
local delicacies like fondue with Swiss cheeses.<br />
Getting around<br />
Austria: <strong>The</strong> many sights and attractions of<br />
Austria are made accessible by the national<br />
railway system, the U-Bahn, and extensive<br />
motorways. Most of the tourist attractions are<br />
