4<strong>Beavers</strong> have strong, sharp teeth. First,they use their teeth to cut down trees.Next, they cut off the branches. Thenthey cut off the bark.After this is done the beavers carrythe logs toward the stream.They use mud in order to stick thelogs and branches together.5


6The word for a beaver’s <strong>home</strong> is alodge. The lodge is big enough for thewhole beaver family.The top of the beaver’s <strong>home</strong> sticksout above the water. The door is underthe water.7
