Hereinafter,the Northwest Junior Livestock Show, Inc. and said showswill be referred to as the NWJLS. Each participant in theNWJLS hereby agrees that the NWJLS, to include itsboard members, officers, management and secretary,is not responsible for any liability arising from or atany NWJLS event. Each participant, by becominginvolved with an NWJLS event, hereby agrees toindemnify and hold harmless the NWJLS, to includeits board members, management and secretary, forany such liability whatsoever, whether at commonlaw, by statute, by administrative rule, or in equity.Each such participant likewise agrees that any disputeregarding the NWJLS, to include these rules, policies,procedures, livestock judging, sale order and any othermatter pertaining to the NWJLS, shall be determined bya majority vote of a quorum of at least five NWJLS boardmembers. The result of said vote shall be final and binding.PRACTICAL APPLICATION PROJECTFFA(Record Book)The purpose of this project is to encourage record keeping,to know daily gains and be able to know if project is profitableor non-profitable. RULE 13All steers must be halter broke and led into the Show Ringand Sale Ring.All steers must be left wearing a rope halter after sale.RULE 14All lambs must be completely slick shorn within 7 days of theshow. Wool may be left on lambs below the knees and hocksonly. No electric shearing after weigh-in. Hand trimming isallowed. No halters in show ring or sales ring.RULE 15Checks from sale of livestock will be mailed to the Leadersand FFA Instructors for distribution to the boys and girls intheir respective clubs and schools. The premiums, IF fundsare available, will be made in the same manner, and bothwill be sent as soon as possible after the sale.RULE 16All livestock will show by weigh in weight and sell by shrinkweight. All steers, hogs and lambs will be weighed off ofthe truck and before feeding. This weighing is hereinafterreferred to as "Weigh In." Hog weigh-in time will be fromnoon to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2013.There willbe one weigh-in only at the time of unloading. Each entrywill have only one weigh in. BEFORE unloading check withmanagement regarding weigh-in procedure.
