To ensure the full readiness of the Carrier Strike Groups (CSGs) andExpeditionary Strike Groups (ESGs), the budget provides the requisite resources totrain, equip, operate and support these forces for extended periods while in harm’sway. Strike groups, along with their associated logistics support forces, are thefoundation of the Navy’s ability to apply force as required to achieve missionobjectives.
