However it may be easier toachieve using the internal fixator and then removingit just prior to taking the photograph.A stereoscopic fundus reflex (FR) photograph should also be taken to documentmedia opacities. To obtain the largest possible FR im<strong>age</strong> the photographer shouldturn the focusing knob all the way <strong>for</strong>ward and then adjust focus by manually movingthe camera closer or further away from the patient.3. Digital Fluorescein AngiographyFor fluorescein angiography only Fields 1 and 2 (F1 & F2) as described above in thecolour fundus photography section are required. It is important that good evenillumination is used at all times and that the flash settings are kept at the correctlevels to ensure this.The timing <strong>for</strong> the procedure is as follows: -1. Be<strong>for</strong>e the injection of the fluorescein dye, stereoscopic red-freephotographs are taken of Field 2 of both eyes.2. Position camera on F2 of eye to be treated (index eye) prior to injection. 5mlof fluorescein is injected rapidly (in less than 5secs if possible).3.
