<strong>The</strong> goal <strong>of</strong> this program is to allow engineering students with an interest in<br />
chemistry and biotechnology to develop suitable preparation for graduate study in<br />
biotechnology or the medical fields without reducing their potential for careers in<br />

This certificate program is intended to promote understanding <strong>of</strong> the basic<br />
aspects <strong>of</strong> business formation and operation. <strong>The</strong> program can be useful for nonbusiness<br />
majors benefiting from an introduction to a new discipline. <strong>The</strong> emphasis<br />
is on serving the objectives <strong>of</strong> the students who expect to enhance their value<br />
to current employers or those students who may want to acquire newer skills<br />
toward seeking prospective employment.<br />
<strong>The</strong> awarding <strong>of</strong> this certificate is not contingent upon completion <strong>of</strong> a degree<br />
