Early Childhood Intervention Specialist<br />
This program is designed to meet the standards for the State <strong>of</strong> Ohio teaching<br />
license for Early Childhood Intervention Specialist. Students completing this program<br />
will be prepared to work as an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist with<br />
learners with mild/moderate/intensive education needs from ages three through<br />
eight and prekindergarten through grade three, and for providing service coordination.<br />
<strong>The</strong> program consists <strong>of</strong> 45 hours <strong>of</strong> General Education requirements, 21<br />
hours <strong>of</strong> Teacher Education core requirements, 42 hours <strong>of</strong> Special Education<br />
core requirements and 26 hours <strong>of</strong> Early Childhood Intervention Specialist program<br />
requirements. <strong>The</strong> total program requires 134 hours; there are no elective<br />
hours in the program.<br />
