Aware also that there were rumours as well as evidencethat ‘no man spake like this man spake. Aware that here was the firstchallenge to Priestly Authority and Ecclesiastical Authority, that a hierarchywas suppressing wisdom and truth. But, aware also of his responsibilityto the class which he taught, and to his status which was alsoimportant.He said: I must personally interview Christ. I must talk to Yahshua Jesus,but it would be better if I go after my classes, and that I go at night. Noman can then identify me and say, this man is also a follower of HIS untilI have heard, until I have become sure.Some have criticized Nicodemus for going at night. God’s not disturbedwhether you go day or night to see Him. The fact is there was animpelling destiny at work here, for as Nicodemus came to see Jesus heasked HIM the important questions concerning the one thing, which filledhis life. Remember that Nicodemus was interested in the Kingdom ofGod. He was interested in the day when righteousness was going to rulefrom one end of the earth to the other. He was interested in the propheciesof Daniel. That the Saints, or the believing offspring, of the MOST HIGHGOD were going to take and possess the earth.He sought to bring down such generations, through the race of which hewas a part, and to see the covenants, which God had made with hisforefathers.
