UCC’s new sailing fleet<br />
Rowing<br />
• Justin Ryan was crowned single sculls intervarsity champion.<br />
He also won a silver medal at the World U23 Rowing<br />
Championships – lightweight double sculls.<br />
Rugby<br />
• All-Ireland U21 club champions.<br />
• Munster U21 cup winners (the seventh victory in a row).<br />
• U21 Waterpark tournament winners.<br />
• U21 Conroy Cup finalists – U21 intervarsity.<br />
• Retained the All-Ireland senior division 1B status (third in<br />
table).<br />
• Munster Senior Cup finalists.<br />
• Bryan Cagney and David O’Callaghan were part of the Irish<br />
U20 squad.<br />
• Sean Scanlon and John Ryan were members of the Ireland<br />
Club International team.<br />
• Andrew Burke, David O’Callaghan, Sean Scanlon, Jonathan<br />
Holland and Ivan Dineen were members of the Munster<br />
panel.<br />
• UCC second Juniors won the Tramway Cup – Munster Junior<br />
2 Cup – three in a row for UCC.<br />
• UCC Junior 3 were Munster Junior 3 cup finalists.<br />
Sailing<br />
• UCC were crowned ‘Coupe de l’Université de Nantes, FF Sport<br />
‘U’ – Voile ‘Match Racing’ champions.<br />
Soccer<br />

• UCC juniors were Crowley Cup finalists in the junior<br />
intervarsities.<br />
• UCC second juniors won the Corinthians Cup in the Munster<br />
junior cup competition.<br />
Squash<br />
• UCC men’s ‘A’ team were runners up in the intervarsities.<br />
• UCC men’s ‘B’ team won the ‘B’ intervarsities.<br />
• UCC men’s ‘C’ team were runners up in the ‘C’ intervarsities.<br />
• UCC men’s ‘D’ team won the ‘D’ intervarsities.<br />
• UCC ladies’ ‘B’ team were runners up in the ‘B’ intervarsities.<br />
Tae Kwon Do (TWD)/Kickboxing<br />
• Connie Vaughan was third at the ITF World TWD<br />
Championships held in Korea. She also won two medals at<br />
the Korean Open.<br />
• Christian Spagnol won a bronze medal at the Korean Open.<br />
Ultimate Frisbee<br />
• Won every intervarsity ladies’ and men’s competitions, both<br />
indoors and outdoors, in <strong>2009</strong>/<strong>2010</strong>.<br />
• Received six awards from the Irish Flying Discs Association<br />
at their annual awards – the first time a third-level institution<br />
has been honoured at these awards.<br />
• Several club members represented Ireland at U21, U23 and<br />
senior level in International competitions.<br />

• UCC ladies’ team retained their intervarsity title.<br />
