UCC ladies’ hockey match on new pitch<br />

• UCC senior team were Sigerson Cup finalists.<br />

• UCC senior Gaelic football team were McGrath Cup finalists<br />

• Five UCC students received Sigerson All-Stars: Michael<br />

Shields, Ken O’Halloran, Shane Enright, Johnny Buckley<br />

and Barry O’Driscoll.<br />

Golf<br />

• Ian O’Rourke was a member of the Munster senior men’s<br />

golf inter-pros team.<br />

Handball<br />

• Ashley Prendiville won the All-Ireland 60 x 30 singles and<br />

doubles titles, and the 40 x 20 doubles title. Ashley also won<br />

the intervarsity title.<br />

• UCC graduate Maria Daly won the 40 x 20 singles title and<br />

partnered Ashley in the two doubles finals. Maria was also<br />

awarded the <strong>2010</strong> Female Senior Player of the Year award<br />

• David Walsh won the ‘A’ intervarsity title.<br />

• John Casey was crowned ‘B’ intervarsity winner.<br />

• John Kearney won the World Collegiate Men’s C Division<br />

Championship in Arizona.<br />

Hurling<br />

• UCC fresher ‘A’ are All-Ireland colleges champions.<br />

• Bill Beckett captained Kilkenny intermediates to All-Ireland<br />

success.<br />

• Michael Cahill was a member of the winning Tipperary All-<br />

Ireland Senior & U21 winning teams.<br />

• Philip O’Mahony was awarded Waterford Supreme Sports<br />

Star of the Year in January <strong>2010</strong>.<br />

• UCC intermediate hurlers won the Intermediate<br />

Championship.<br />

• UCC fresher ‘B’ team won the ‘B’ Hurling League.<br />

• Senior hurlers were Waterford Crystal Cup finalists.<br />

Kendo<br />

• Szilard Szucs was a member of the <strong>Cork</strong> squad that won the<br />

team competition at the National Championships.<br />

Ken O’Halloran, UCC goalkeeper, in action in the McGrath Cup against Kerry<br />

Ladies’ Hockey<br />

• Audrey O’Flynn and Miriam Crowley both received their first<br />

senior caps for Ireland. They joined Julia O’Halloran on the<br />

Irish senior squad this year.<br />

• UCC’s senior team retained their All-Ireland status.<br />

• UCC’s seniors were runners-up in the Munster Senior League.<br />

Ladies’ Rugby<br />

• <strong>College</strong> league finalists.<br />

Ladies’ Soccer<br />

• Futsal intervarsity winners and went on to represent Ireland at<br />

the European <strong>University</strong> Futsal championships in Croatia.<br />

• Zoe Murphy and Linda Douglas were awarded All-Stars.<br />

Men’s Hockey<br />

• Andrew Grey was a member of the Munster senior inter-pros<br />

team
