Continuing Professional Development Programmes:
Certificate in Leadership and Organisation – in March 2010,
UCC’s Dr Michael Murphy presented certificates to a group from
Pfizer Ireland who had successfully completed a programme in
leadership and organisation. The Department of Management
and Marketing developed the programme for high-potential
management and future leaders. The success of this programme
illustrates the importance of collaboration between the business
community and UCC. Two new continuing professional
development programmes arising from this programme
were developed for the Pfizer Group: Diploma in Production
Supervision (Pharma Chem) and Higher Diploma in Leadership
Development (Pharma Chem). These qualifications are offered
in association with the Centre for Adult Continuing Education. It
is hoped to replicate this programme format with other industry
partners in 2011.
