Review and recommend levels <strong>of</strong> stipends paid toK-12 districts for their involvement in the training <strong>of</strong> student teachers.Supervise, evaluate, and provide effective leadership for program coordinators and facultyteaching in teacher education programs.Take a primary role to lead and participate in <strong>Teacher</strong> <strong>Education</strong> faculty meetings andpr<strong>of</strong>essional development activities.Coordinate, monitor, and continuously assess the placement <strong>of</strong> student teachers and internteachers. Oversee candidate placement support activities and respond to school site requestsfor information regarding applicants, available positions, and anticipated needs. Visit partnerschool sites on a regular basis and as needed.Oversee multiple- and single-subject coordinators’ school site visits, as well as thoseconducted by supervisors <strong>of</strong> teacher education, during fieldwork and student teaching.Provide leadership to and collaborate with program faculty to enhance the pr<strong>of</strong>essionaldevelopment <strong>of</strong> mentor teachers.Partner with the Faculty <strong>Director</strong>, other program directors, <strong>Director</strong> <strong>of</strong> Student Affairs, andAssistant Dean to develop and maintain a strategic plan for utilizing financial aid as a tool forenrollment management.Ensure public information (web, catalogue, marketing, etc.) is maintained and producedaccording to best practices and University guidelines.Participate in the <strong>School</strong>’s <strong>Teacher</strong> <strong>Education</strong> Steering Committee, <strong>Director</strong>s group, andother <strong>School</strong> committees and task forces; the statewide Deans and <strong>Director</strong>s group; as well asother administrative posts assigned by the Faculty <strong>Director</strong>.Actively participate in regional and statewide meetings related to teacher education andpublic policy as requested, and share pertinent information with program faculty andadministrators in the <strong>School</strong>, University Extension, and other units as warranted.Provide reports internally and externally, as appropriate, regarding legislative action items,changes in teacher preparation standards and credential processes, statewide examinationrequirements, and university credential program evaluations.3. Student Recruitment and RetentionCollaborate with the <strong>Director</strong> <strong>of</strong> Student Affairs, the <strong>Director</strong> <strong>of</strong> Undergraduate <strong>Education</strong>programs, and other senior administrators in the <strong>School</strong> to promote program growth andstudent recruitment.
