Collaborate with faculty across UC Irvine schools to develop and strengthen innovativepathways for teacher preparation.Analyze and interpret pertinent state laws and regulations as related to teacher licensure andcredentialing. Appropriately communicate with key stakeholders.Take a leadership role to develop new programs and write program documents to complywith legislation that requires program changes.Collaborate with program faculty, staff, campus-wide schools and UCI school districtpartners to create high quality programs that reflect the UC mission for teacher preparation,that meet the needs <strong>of</strong> all <strong>of</strong> our students and K-12 school districts.Upon request, teach and/or make presentations to maintain teaching and supervisoryexpertise, communication and connection with credential candidates.Oversee articulation agreements with community colleges for <strong>Education</strong> courses andprograms.Expand the existing UCI/<strong>School</strong> Partnerships model by identifying additional school districtsand schools to meet the increased student teacher and placement needs based on increases inprogram growth.Communicate with K-12 school district superintendents, assistant superintendents, andpersonnel directors to invite their participation and identify partner schools within thedistricts.2. Administrative Management and LeadershipPlan, execute, and evaluate the programs to ensure that short- and long-term goals are metand credentialing standards are upheld according to University and State guidelines. Advisefaculty and other program administrators on significant aspects <strong>of</strong> program curriculum andpolicies. Serve in a leadership role with all credential programs, including those within the<strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Education</strong> and those in other units on campus such as University Extension.Provide a coordinated, strategic schedule <strong>of</strong> classes for all teacher education programs,following UCI and <strong>School</strong> policies, procedures, and timelines.Ensure the course schedule for teacher education programs is developed to best meet theneeds <strong>of</strong> students and to maximize <strong>School</strong> resources.Plan and coordinate budget for full-time and part-time program faculty recruitment, classassignments, and program faculty work loads in collaboration with the Faculty <strong>Director</strong>.Recruit and recommend new full-time and part-time lecturers to meet current and futureneeds in the teacher education programs. Review and recommend appropriate salary rates
