WWW.DESTINATION<strong>RCT</strong>.CO.UKPontypridd MuseumAlthough the market town of Pontypridd isnot an old one, it has a rich history andmany interesting features.The museum is housed in the TabernaclChapel, which was built in 1861 to thedesign of its minister, Edward Roberts.Rebuilt in 1910 at the height of the town’sprosperity, the interior has an exceptionallyfine ceiling and art nouveau stained glass.The pine woodwork came from Russia andPoland, a reminder of the internationaltrade created by the coal industry.
